Description of accommodation

A modernly equipped and in Provence-style decorated family house with an indoor as well as outdoor sauna, which underwent a complete renovation in 2022, will offer comfortable accommodation to its guests in the heart of the Bohemian Central Mountains with all amenities within reach.
Entrance, from the hallway you enter the kitchen with a dining area equipped with an electric stove with oven, microwave, kettle, fridge with freezer and dishwasher. From the kitchen, free passage to the living room with a sofa bed (extra bed for 1 person) and TV with internet services. The bedroom with a double bed and white Provence-style furniture features windows to the quiet garden. Infrared sauna for 2 people at time.
On the 1st floor, a second living room with a sofa bed (extra bed for 1 person) and TV with internet services. Second bedroom with a double bed, a single bed and a babycot. The bedroom leads to a large terrace with seating under a parasol that provides spectacular view of surroundings. Bathroom with infrared heating, shower, bathtub, toilet and basin. In each living room there is an air conditioning unit that heats or cools as needed.
Behind the house, guests have access to a sheltered terrace with seating, smaller grassy garden with fruit trees, bicycle shed and sauna. The house is completely fenced with parking for 2 vehicles behind the gate.

Note on accommodation

Pets allowed for a fee of CZK 500/stay. Wi-Fi connection available. Refundable deposit of CZK 5000. Electricity consumption is included in the price in the summer season and is paid separately on site in the winter season according to electric meter reading. Final clean-up included in the price. Bedding, towels and tea towels provided by the landlord.

Location description

In northern Bohemia, in the České Středohoří protected landscape area, in the wine-growing village of Malé Žernoseky, 3 km north of Lovosice and 20 km south of Ústí nad Labem.
The cottage is situated at the end of the Opárenské valley under the legendary Lovoš mountain, where an educational trail will take you to a view of the unique canyon valley of the Labe river called Porta Bohemica. You can cycle through the Labe valley on the marked cycle route no. 2 or, even better, aboard pleasure boat, which you can board in the village of Velké Žernoseky, accessible by ferry (1 km). On that occasion, we recommend stopping at one of the wineries that grow and process local grape harvests. 100m from the house is a wine shop at Svatý Tomáš with excellent local wine and a very nice owner who will be happy to tell you the history of the winery, which was already founded by the king Charles IV.
On hot summer days, you will appreciate the opportunity to swim in the flooded sand quarry called Žernosecké jezero, which is widely sought after for windsurfing due to its favorable wind conditions. The entire area is known for its unmistakable silhouettes of conical peaks, whose basalt composition recalls the ancient volcanic past. Whether you climb Radobýl, the smoking Boreč hill, very attractive especially in frosty weather, or the highest mountain, Milešovka, you will always be rewarded with breathtaking views of this unique landscape. Lovers of historical monuments will not be disappointed either. It is definitely worth visiting the Ploskovice chateau (17 km), the Terezín memorial (10 km) or the medieval town of Litoměřice (11 km) with an unprecedented concentration of churches and the central náměstí Míru square, where architecturally valuable houses from the Gothic and Renaissance periods stand.

Distances: Children's playground, basic groceries and restaurant 150-300 m (in the village), supermarket, visitor centre, post office, swimming pool, tennis courts 2.5-3.5 km (Lovosice), bike and scooter rental 11 km (Litoměřice), woodland 700 m.
