A country lodge in a semi-secluded place that went through sensitive renovation utilizing old methods and procedures is surrounded by a lush garden with a fantastic view of Šumava meadows and mountains on the horizon. Being an unique place with authenticity in its each and every detail it is the right choice for anybody who is craving relaxation in a serene and inspiring environment. The accomodation consists of an original cottage and a newly built wooden hut in the garden.
You enter the cottage through a conservatory to the living room with a sofa and a couple of armchairs in front of a fireplace and TV. Passing by a bathroom with a shower cubicle and basin and a separate toilet with basin you get to the dining room with a table for 4 persons, rocking chair and open plan kitchen fully equipped with an electric hob, convection oven, microwave oven, kettle, coffee machine, big fridge, washing machine and a dishwasher. There is first bedroom with a double bed separated by a room divider from the dining room.
Another living room with a sleeper sofa (double bed), TV and a wood-burning stove is upstairs. On the same floor you can find second bedroom with a double bed and children´s bed, third bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with a bathtub, toilet bowl and basin. The building has an electric boiler for central space and water heating and two wood-burners for local heating in living rooms. The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 adults and 1 child.
Wooden simply furnished hut in the garden features 2 separated bedrooms, each with own entrance. First bedroom with a double bed and a pair of club chairs at a coffee table. Second bedroom with a double bed, 2 single beds and a sofa. Heating is provided by a gas powered stove. There is an outdoor solar shower and a chemical toilet outside of the hut. The hut sleeps up to 6 persons.
Guests can enjoy the garden with 2 sheltered seatings along with a brick fireplace, portable firepit with a grill, swimming pond, wood-fired hot tub, sun loungers, hanging swing chair, trampoline and a kids´ slide. You can optionally arrange meals with the landlord in the form of breakfast, half board or full board.Part of accommodation

Pets are allowed for a fee CZK 450/pet/stay (a large breed is required to sleep in a provided kennel). One baby cot available. Wi-Fi internet for free. Consumption of electric power up to 50 kWh included in price. Firewood for a fee CZK 150 per basket. Refundable deposit CZK 5000. Bedding, towels and tea cloths provided for free. The landlord lives on the premises, however, he fully respects your privacy and is on call in case you need him. The entire property can accomodate up to 12 adults and 1 child up to age of 12.

In South Bohemia, in national park Šumava, in a quiet hamlet of Záhvozdí, 11 km north of the town of Horní Planá and south of the town of Volary. Perfectly located base for your hiking and biking adventures in close proximity to deep Šumava forests. The landlord can hire you e-bikes and take you on trips as a guide in case you are interested. You may want to take a dip and enjoy a variety of water sports at Lipno reservoir just 6 km away. There is upriver of Vltava passing nearby rich in fish and navigable for canoes in the passage Lenora – Soumarský most – Pěkná – Nová Pec (a permit issued by NP Šumava is mandatory). Local woodland turns into a paradise for mushroom pickers in autumn. Tarmac trail suitable not only for cyclists but for in-line skaters as well takes you from Nová Pec (6 km) to Stožec. Set off for a hike along the trail Medvědí stezka that starts at train station in the hamlet of Ovesná (8 km) and takes you through the forest around the mountain Jelenská hora or further to the lake Plešné jezero (19 km), from where you can start climbing the highest mouintain of Šumava called Plechý. An easy trip is worth taking to the town of H. Planá to reach the Dobrá voda lookout (11 km), from which you can observe the entire area of Lipno reservoir, and along the way visit the Wapiti Mini Zoo (7 km) with children.
