Description of accommodation

Idyllic accommodation in the foothills of the Giant Mountains in a historic, sensitively renovated cottage with a sauna, indoor heated pool and a hot tub in an ornamental garden. The cottage is internally divided into 4 apartments, each with its own entrance, which can be interconnected for larger groups.
You stay in a large two-story apartment 150 m²: Barrier-free entrance from the courtyard, hallway, on the left hand side entrance to the living room with a¨wood-fired clay oven with sleeping platform on top, a dining table, three sofas and armchairs, TV and pass-through to the first bedroom with a double bed. From the hallway there is also access to the kitchen with an electric hob, oven, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and pass-through to the bathroom with shower and basin. Upstairs there is an open hall with 2 sofas and a rocking chair. Two bathrooms, each with shower, toilet and basin. Second bedroom with double bed and sofa bed (extra bed for 2 people). Third bedroom with double bed and sofa bed (180 cm). Fourth bedroom with sofa, sofa bed (extra bed for 2 people), a pair of armchairs, TV, double bed and sleeping gallery with double bed and partially separate bathroom with toilet and basin.
Heating of the property provided with a gas boiler in combination with a heat pump.
In the large fenced garden, guests have a sheltered in-ground swimming pool (heated from 1.5.-30.9.), Finnish sauna, wood-fired hot tub for 6 people in year-round operation, table tennis, seating under the pergola with grill and fireplace. For children there is a climbing frame, trampoline, sandpit, swing and a house with five beds and toys. Parking in the garden behind the gate for 5 cars and there is space for more cars in front of the building.

Note on accommodation

Pets allowed for a fee of CZK 100/night. Wi-Fi connection and baby cot available. Deposit not required. Electricity consumption included in the price. Use of the sauna for an additional fee of approx. CZK 150/cycle. Firewood for the hot tub for a fee of CZK 500/stay. Bed linen, bath towels and towels provided by the landlord.

The price in the price list relates to the occupancy of up to 6 guests. For each additional person up to a total capacity of 15 people, an additional charge of CZK 485/night is charged.

Location description

In Eastern Bohemia, in the foothills of the Giant Mountains, in the picturesque village of Rtyně, halfway between the towns of Náchod (14 km) and Trutnov (17 km). An ideal starting point for your trips to the natural and cultural monuments that this area is exceptionally blessed with.
One of the magnets is the Ratibořice chateau (14 km) in the Italian Empire style, famous from the literary work "Grandma" by B. Němcová with the nature park Grandma's Valley, which will take you through all the places and buildings you have read about, an educational trail from Barunčina School (open for public) in the town of Česká Skalice to the ruins of Rýzmburk Castle. In Česká Skalice (16 km) there is also an exhibition in the local museum dedicated to the life and work of B. Němcová.
A local attraction is the atypical ruins of Vízmburk Castle (10 km), which were only discovered during archaeological research in the years 1972-1984. You should definitely not miss a visit to Náchod Castle (15 km) with 4 sightseeing tours and a French garden, which forms an unmissable landmark of the city. The second important cultural center of the area is the city of Trutnov (17 km) with an urban protected area centered around Krakonoš Square with the old town hall building, burgher houses with arcades, a baroque church and part of the town walls from the 14th century. A great example of the revitalization of a former brownfield is the EPO1 modern art gallery in Trutnov-Poříčí (14 km). The dark history of our past is recalled by an exhibition in the most famous artillery fort of the Czechoslovak border fortifications from the pre-war period near the village of Dobrošov (22 km).
For the wonders of nature, head to the Broumovsko Protected Landscape Area, specifically to the Adršpach Rocks, one of the largest rock cities in Europe. Visitors can admire rugged ridges, massive rock towers and deep gorges with a specific microclimate. If this place is too crowded to your taste, then a great alternative is the Ostaš table mountain (22 km) with its rock mazes.
