Description of accommodation

The free standing house was built in the year 1963 and completely renovated in the year 2000. It’s really gracious. In the ground floor you will find the main entrance, hall, living room with the seating furniture, chimney place and TV. The dining room has a table for eight persons. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and electric oven, fridge, coffee maker, tea-kettle and microwave. The bathroom has a bathtub and a toilet. There is also one bedroom in the ground floor. It has one double bed, one single bed and one additional bed. In the first floor you will find another two bedrooms. One has a double bed and a single bed and the other one has one double bed, two additional beds, a baby cot and a terrace. The house has a central gas heating system. You can also enjoy the fenced garden with wooden tables and benches and a fireplace.

Location description

It is located in the western Slovakia at the border of the village Rajecka Lesna, app. 25 km from the town Zilina and only app. 40 km from the Czech border. The village lies near by the forest in a wonderful nature of Rajecka Dolina. The house offers a gorgeous view over the mountains of Mala Fatra and Sulovske Vrchy. There is a place of pilgrimage named Kalvaria in the forest app. 500 m from the village. The whole area is really rich in beautiful natural sceneries and it’s full of the ways for hiking and biking. App. 15 km from the village you can find a little hamlet named Cicmany – the out door museum of the folk art. Especially beautiful wooden cottages decorated with ornamental paintings and also the Slovakian Bethlehem lure thousands of visitors from the whole world. You can also visit many chateaus and castles in the surroundings, like the chateaus Bojnice, Budatin, Kuneradsky zamek or the castles Lietava, Strecno or Orava.
Distances: The essential grocery is app. 500 far. Restaurant only app. 50 m far. The supermarket is in the town Zilina (25 km). Thermal resort, sauna, tennis courts and mini-golf course are in the village Rajecke Teplice (6 km). The horse back riding is possible in the village Rajecka Lesna (1 km).
Winter info: The skiing area is located ba the village Rajecka Lesna (1 km) – three ski lifts, 2 km of the ski slopes, ski rental). The ski centre is also in Cicmany (15 km) – five sku lifts, 1 200 m of the ski slpes, trails for the Gross-country skiing, scjool of skiing, ski rental possibilities, ski service.
